Third Year Zoology 2008

COMPONENT SELECTION FORM

Note: The Heron Island Field Course is now offered at the end of 2008 for students enrolled in third year in 2008.  If the minimum quota is not met, then the field course will be opened to the student cohort who will be enrolling in third year for 2009.

Each semester subject in third year Zoology is composed of three components.  In addition, there are wildcard components, such as field courses and a research project, that may be used to replace one of the three standard components.   Please be aware that field courses are run outside normal semester times (i.e. November/December and Easter).  If you enrol in a subject the standard components are selected by default unless you indicate to replace one or more of these with a wildcard component.  It is possible to have up to three wildcard components, but each wildcard component can only be counted once.  You should consult the Handbook in conjunction with the information provided on the various options when making your choice to ensure that you meet appropriate pre-requisites.  Please note that the component descriptions and options provided under component descriptions supersede those in the Handbook

NOTE (1) that your enrolment is provisional until confirmed by the Department, (2) strict minimum and maximum quotas are imposed on the field courses and some other components, (3) quotas are decided by academic merit (highest mark obtained in either semester in 2nd year Zoology), and (4) enrolment for a field course will not be considered without payment of the deposit by the due date and formal enrolment (via Student Online) in the appropriate subject.

You must complete all information below.  It is suggested that you work sequentially through the form.
